After 10 years working as litigation counsel and 6 years as a partner at one of Red Deer's leading general practice law firms, Grant founded Watson Construction Law with the goal of developing a more focused practice which would better serve the needs of participants in the Alberta construction industry.  Grant spends the majority of his time working on files involving commercial and light industrial projects, but is also happy to do work involving other types of projects.

Grant has developed a reputation for his analytical skills and knowledge about construction law generally, as well as his enthusiasm for sharing those skills and knowledge with junior lawyers and clients.

Grant volunteered with the Central Alberta Community Legal Clinic for 19 years and has served as a director and officer of local charitable and not-for-profit societies.  Grant spends any leftover time ice climbing, hiking, mountain biking, and making noise on his guitars.
